About Me

I'm a woman in her early twenties who hails from a country with more sheep than people. I learned to code from high school DigiTech classes, and have loved it ever since despite time I've spent away from it. Currently pursuing a degree in English Literature and studying Japanese language/culture for my minor. I hold love in my heart for many different things.

A bit of a dreamer, trying to be an optimist. Best described as eccentric, hard-working, playful and ever-curious. Most likely to be found off the beaten path admiring the beauty in the mundane and enjoying the sound of native birdcalls. Fond of cute-yet-functional stationery, the family Pavlova recipe, happy endings, staying up a little too late, collecting various things, fishing minigames, and choosing to move forward everyday. Known for procrastinating in the form of yapping with peers and staring at a wall thinking about the task(s) at hand.

If I was a sweet treat...

At first you're caught off-guard by the aggressively-sour sugary coating of a Strawberry Sour Patch Kid! It soon mellows out into a sweet artificial strawberry flavouring that reminds you of your childhood, covered in bandaids from scuffing your knees on the pavement and eating fruit-flavoured ice blocks as the afternoon sun beams down on you. Much like this candy, a first impression isn't necessarily the best way to interpret me! To some I'm an acquired taste due to my tough exterior, but to others, it's love at first... well, bite! (Please don't actually bite me, I bruise easily...)

If I was a flower...

Hydrangea flowers convey the message of heartfelt emotion and gratitude— but are also associated with fickleness due to the ways in which soil acidity impacts the colour of their petals. When I was a little girl, my grandmother had a bush of Hydrangeas in her yard, just below the bathroom windows. She would sometimes trim some of the flowers off during the spring, placing them in a small vase with a mix of water and food colouring, letting them change colours as they remained on the windowsill of her kitchen. I used to think it was the coolest thing in the world!
